• Only those employees who are specifically named on the vehicle’s insurance policy can drive company vehicles. At no time, shall the vehicle be used for anything other than business use? No passengers will be allowed to ride in the vehicles without management approval.
• Employees must keep track of all mileage in a mileage log. Starting miles and ending miles must be recorded daily.
• Moving violations or accidents that occur while driving company vehicles must be reported to management immediately.
• Report any noises, dents, or other defects to management immediately.
• Drive courteously. Company vehicles are traveling billboards. Your actions as a driver therefore will reflect on the reputation and public image of the organization.
• Drivers must obey any traffic signs and speed limits. Any traffic tickets or parking violations are to be paid for by the driver.
• Do not exceed the posted speed limit and do not exceed 65 mph.
• Do not leave keys in an unattended vehicle.
• Employees assigned to a vehicle may be given a fuel card to use for the purchase of fuel. This card is to be used to refuel the company vehicle only in emergency situations. No personal use of the card is allowed. Personal use of the card is grounds for termination. If the card is lost or stolen it must be reported to management immediately. Must turn in receipts.
• The vehicle must be returned to the company at the end of the employee’s work shift unless otherwise authorized by management.
• Do not do anything while driving
• Do not make calls or text while driving; park the vehicle before making a call.
• No smoking in the vehicle
• Please keep the vehicle clean and remove all gear and trash at the end of your shift.
If you need to borrow a car:
If you have an emergency situation with your own care, we want to make the Kia’s available. You will be able to borrow the car for up to 3 days, a maximum of 5. If you need it longer than that you can rent it for $10/day. The only other requirement is to make sure to keep it clean and to refill any gas you may have used.
