The test did not detect the virus but

If you have a negative test but have symptoms of COVID-19:

  • You may have COVID-19 but tested before the virus was detectable, or you may have another illness, such as the flu.
  • Test again in 24 Hours
  • If you do not have symptoms of COVID-19 and do not have a known exposure to a person with COVID-19, you do not need to quarantine.
  • Recommendations for quarantine or isolation, or your symptoms, significantly if they worsen.

You can go back to your normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:

  • Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
  • You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)

If you develop a fever or you start to feel worse after you have gone back to normal activities, stay home and away from others again until, for at least 24 hours, both are true: your symptoms are improving overall, and you have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)

If you test POSITIVE: Day 0 is your first day of symptoms or a positive viral test. Day 1 is the first full day after your symptoms developed or your test specimen was collected.

A positive COVID-19 test means the virus was detected and you have or recently had an infection.

  • Stay home for 24 hours and isolate yourself from others in your home.
  • You can end isolation after 24 hours if you are fever-free for 24 hours after Covid Positive Test without the use of fever-reducing medication and your other symptoms have improved (Loss of taste and smell may persist for weeks or months after recovery and need not delay the end of isolation).
  • You should continue to wear a well-fitting mask around others at home and in public for five additional days (day 6 through day 10) after the end of your 5-day isolation period. If you are unable to wear a mask when around others, you should continue to isolate for a full ten days.
  • If you continue to have a fever or your other symptoms have not improved after five days of isolation, you should wait to end your isolation until you are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and your other symptoms have improved.
  • Naturalcare Cleaning Service will remove you from the schedule for two business days- Please communicate prior to the 3rd day on if extra days are needed
